The White Masai... wait, white?

There is something you might forget to hide about yourself (if you want to) besides your color or ethnicity: your cultural background. Carola is a White Masai. But "Masai" is supposed to be black, isn't it? So what? She wants to be one, and that's it, period! Okay, Pablo is a Latino and wants to become "Paul", a "cool" looking "white" guy. So, he first changes his name to Paul. But he still has a Latino face. Alright, plastic surgery on him! Now, he has a name and face of a white guy, finally. But wait, he has a different swing when he walks, and his body language is outstanding when he talks. That's Pablo! It's not exactly what happens to Carola, but it is just a metaphor to explain how dangerous the culture factor can be, and most of all, the interference of another culture in someone's behavior. Masai is one tribe in Kenya where warriors are very proud to be part of it. We are talking about a white, blond woman from Switzerland who gives up(poor girl) her comfortable life in order to build up a family with an African man in a Masai tribe. Ridiculous film which gives a point of view from the "white European" perspective.

Film directed by Hermine Huntgeburth
